![]() | "A Flock of Kites" 2009 We have "Kite Birds" by our shop. Beautiful white soaring birds, that the kite toy was named after. I liked the idea of a mobile, but I felt that the white birds needed some help with a focal point. I chose to include the red characters looking up. A Video of "A Flock of Kites" |
![]() | "A Flock of Kites" I've inset this photo of a real Kite next to my sculpture. I think that the wings and tail represent the Kite bird pretty well. |
![]() | The Solana Beach Seagull My philanthropist client donated a huge seagull sculpture to the City of Solana Beach. The bird needed some TLC, a pedestal, and a proper location. It took over 2 years to get this privately funded project approved by the city. It's complete now and is a beautiful addition to "Fletcher Cove" in Solana Beach Ca. |
![]() | "The Big Blue Kite" Kites over Vista 2008 I took this photo the next day in the morning and included the close up inset of my signature in the right hand of the bottom character. |
![]() | Palm Desert Al Cook is an architect in Palm Desert that has used me for several of his clients projects. When his new office needed art he asked me to do the work. This is the handicap ramp for access to his building. It's his concept but he let me do the final design and fabrication. It's a view of rolling desert hills with Ocotillo bushes. It actually came out pretty cool! |
![]() | Solana Beach Library (art by others) This bronze sculpture was donated to the city of Solana Beach and then given to the library, by one of my clients. I was assigned the task of figuring out how to convert the sculpture into a wall hanging. |
